use and care
Like any high-tech device, it's important that you use and care for your
hearing aids properly. Below, you’ll find some valuable tips for keeping
your hearing instrument at its peak level of performance.
Cleaning: Carefully use a small brush every day to remove earwax
or other particles that may have accumulated anywhere on the hearing aid.
Never use solvents, cleaning fluids, or oil to clean your hearing aid.
Battery life: When not in use, open your hearing aid's battery
compartment doors so the batteries are not in contact with any internal
components. This will prolong battery life.
Water: Make sure you keep your hearing aids dry. Don't shower,
swim, or use hairspray with them inserted in the ear.
Storage: Keep hearing aids in a clean, dry place – such as a
plastic pouch. Again, be sure to open battery doors when not in use to
preserve battery life.
